3D Printed Clay Beehive
We have designed and produced a 3d printed clay beehive with bee-centric approach to replicate the microclimate of a tree cave which is the natural habitat of the European honey bee. According to research, honey bees in tree caves live healthier lives and are better equipped to deal with parasites.
Double Wall Cavity
Our unique design incorporates a double wall with cavities, which provides natural air thermo insulation. The clay itself provides one of the best humidity control in nature.
Modularity
The modular structure provides different options for two or three chamber system depending on the needs. When working on the design, we have taken into consideration that bees prefer a round shape and good insulation which is naturally found in tree caves, which brings beekeeping back to nature and ensures a healthy life for bees.
